It is hereby notified for general information of all concerned that taking into
account the existing vacancies as on 31.03.2016 (A/N) and keeping in view the
vacancies due to retirement in the year 2016, a total 21 (Twenty One) vacancies in
the cadre of District Judge (Entry Level) will be filled up for the year 2016, by Direct
Recruitment from the Members of the Bar, by Normal Promotion and by Limited
Competitive Examination from amongst the eligible members of the West Bengal
Judicial Service, in accordance with the direction given by the Hon’ble Supreme Court
of India, from time to time, in Malik Mazhar Sultan’s Case (Civil Appeal No. 1867 of
2006) and Writ Petition No. 46 of 2007, filed by the West Bengal Judicial Service
Association.
